The World's Largest 50 Companies by Revenue
Value Walk | READ STORY
This data visualization comes from Datashown, and it compares the world’s largest companies by their 2016 revenues to really help put the size and scale of these companies into perspective. As just one example, despite being worth more than the majority of brick and mortar retailers combined, Amazon ranks just #44 in terms of global revenue to barely crack the list. While familiar global oil firms and massive banks make up a good portion of the companies on the list, there are also many companies in China and Europe that are less likely to ring a bell.

These retirements help explain a sharp decline in U.S. coal demand for electricity generation, which fell from a peak of 975 million tons in 2010 to 738 million tons in 2015, a 24 percent decline.

MSU Park County Extension celebrated the third class of Leadership 49 in April, recognizing 18 graduates from across Park County. An eight-month leadership development program for Park County citizens, Leadership 49 is focused on developing leadership skills and increasing knowledge about challenges and opportunities throughout the county. Its impact on the county is far-reaching, including new community projects, assisting businesses to create and retain jobs, and an increase in knowledgeable members of government and nonprofits boards. MACDEP salute and applaud great community works. Great Job Katie Weaver and Park County, Montana!
